The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has delayed the

implementation of Phase 2 of CMS CR 6421 for DMEPOS suppliers and CR 6417 for

Part B providers until January 3, 2011.

 
•  This is a MEDICARE REQUIREMENT for all physicians.

 

• Any Physician who has not updated their provider enrollment since 2003 must update their      application on PECOS.  Not updated…..Not enrolled                                              

          

 

•  Have ready your Physician’s REFERRING NPI number, NPPES user ID and password

 

•  Go to the internet address for PECOS.  (copy and Paste the web-address below)
        http://www.cms.hhs.gov/MedicareProviderSupEnroll/04_InternetbasedPECOS.asp

•  PECOS website will allow the option of enrolling and/or making changes/updates to information. 

 

•  The system makes it EASY & QUICK for you to complete your application.  TAKES approx 20 days to process….DON”T    DELAY !!

 

• Download your 2 page certification letter and send it to your local ABMAC with 7 days.
